Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Production Manager role.
Strong experience within joinery, woodworking, door manufacturing, furniture manufacturing, or a related industry.
Proven ability to manage production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling.
Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management systems.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and oversee all production activities within the pre-hung door set manufacturing department.
Ensure production targets, delivery schedules, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
Monitor workflow and production capacity to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Develop and implement production plans to meet customer and project requirements.
Manage daily production meetings and communicate priorities to supervisors and operators.
Ensure all door sets are manufactured in accordance with specifications, fire-rating requirements, building regulations, and customer expectations.
Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures.
Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase output.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor KPIs and provide regular performance reports.
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe working practices throughout the department.
Lead safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained in safe and efficient working condition.
Coordinate planned preventative maintenance schedules.
Work closely with maintenance personnel to minimize downtime.
