Requirements
- Experience in joinery, woodworking, manufacturing, or construction-related design environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar).
- Experience in production scheduling or planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and workflow coordination.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all production activities within the pre-hung door set manufacturing department.
- Ensure production targets, delivery schedules, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Monitor workflow and production capacity to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer and project requirements.
- Manage daily production meetings and communicate priorities to supervisors and operators.
- Ensure all door sets are manufactured in accordance with specifications, fire-rating requirements, building regulations, and customer expectations.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures.
- Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase output.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs and provide regular performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe working practices throughout the department.
- Lead safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
- Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained in safe and efficient working condition.
- Coordinate planned preventative maintenance schedules.
- Work closely with maintenance personnel to minimize downtime.
