Designer & Production Scheduler

Requirements

  • Experience in joinery, woodworking, manufacturing, or construction-related design environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar).
  • Experience in production scheduling or planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and workflow coordination.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all production activities within the pre-hung door set manufacturing department.
  • Ensure production targets, delivery schedules, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor workflow and production capacity to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and implement production plans to meet customer and project requirements.
  • Manage daily production meetings and communicate priorities to supervisors and operators.
  • Ensure all door sets are manufactured in accordance with specifications, fire-rating requirements, building regulations, and customer expectations.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures.
  • Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase output.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor KPIs and provide regular performance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe working practices throughout the department.
  • Lead safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained in safe and efficient working condition.
  • Coordinate planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Work closely with maintenance personnel to minimize downtime.

Annual Salary

€36,605 per annum
