Scaffolder

Role Summary

To safely erect, alter, maintain, and dismantle scaffolding and temporary work platforms at construction, maintenance, renovation or event sites, ensuring that workers have safe access to elevated or hard-to-reach areas. Ensures compliance with all relevant safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Unload, transport, organise and store scaffolding equipment and materials.
  • Set up base plates/foundations, erect standards (uprights), ledgers, transoms, braces, transoms and horizontal components, and connect to structures using ties etc.
  • Install walkboards/planks, guardrails, toe boards, safety netting. 
  • Inspect scaffolding for defects or damage before use and during use; report and rectify issues; perform regular safety inspections. 
  • Dismantle scaffolding safely when no longer required; return materials to storage or next site. 
  • Interpret scaffold design drawings or method statements, particularly for advanced scaffolding work. 
  • Carry out risk assessments and adhere strictly to health & safety regulations (e.g. working at height, SafePass, CSCS cards, manual handling, scaffolding codes of practice). 
  • Work collaboratively with site teams; communicate with supervisors; follow instructions and safety procedures.

Qualifications 

  • Based in Ireland
  • Safe Pass card (mandatory) 
  • CSCS (Scaffolding) Card – basic or advanced level depending on role.
  • Manual Handling certification
